Mr. Simon Coutts
Simon Coutts is a sustainability practitioner with experience in local government the water industry and running his own business. Simon has a Bachelor of Applied Science with a double Master Degree of International Environmental Law and International Relations. Simon’s background involves food safety and environmental health in local government and a number of sustainability roles in the water industry. Simon has developed and consulted with the community on numerous recycled water schemes, trade waste management practices, biosolids reuse schemes and energy management. Simon has environmental and quality auditing experience, has recently been heavily involved in the economic regulation of the water industry and has been responsible for corporate risk management and assuring the Board of its regulatory compliance obligations.
Simon is also founding director of Grantus, a grant writing and management service. Simon’s experience and networks informs him of literally hundreds of government and philanthropic funding opportunities ranging from sport and recreational grants, through to environment and sustainability funds. Simon assists community groups, businesses and organisations seeking funding by researching suitable opportunities, assisting in the submission writing process, as well as reports back to the funding body for acquittal of successful funds.
